Prestige Series
Designed to maintain the appearance of your home, Prestige Series Films combine reflectivity that’s actually lower than glass with films that allow up to 70% of the light into your home. The only thing you’ll see day or night, inside or out, is a beautiful window.
Safety & Security
Safety and Security Window Films help to protect your home and your family from threats such as break-ins, hurricanes or tornados. They are designed to help hold glass fragments together, reducing potential injury from flying glass during severe weather, and creating a stronger barrier to slow down criminals. Safety and Security Window Films are available in clear, safety-only versions, or as a combination film with both sun control and safety features.
Night Vision
Night Vision window films help block the sun’s damaging UV rays, reduce glare, and reject up to 73% of the sun’s heat. These darker shaded films are designed to reject solar heat that is produced from visible light. You can let up to 35% of the natural light into your rooms by day, and thanks to a low interior reflectivity, still enjoy the view out by night. Plus, higher exterior reflectivity means you can enjoy enhanced privacy with your windows both day and night.
Smart Film
SMART film is an electronic film designed to provide privacy at the flick of a switch…then get your view back when you need it! Instant & Precise Privacy Control; Smart Film blocks 98+% of UV rays, eco friendly, reduce fading of flooring, furniture & artwork, provides privacy when needed and is only a fraction of the cost of Smart Glass. Smart Film can be installed on existing glass surfaces. Smart Film can be controlled by a variety of methods including: wall switch, home automation, app on phone, remote control, motion sensor, voice control, light sensor or timer.
Ceramic Series
Advanced ceramics allow these films to maintain their color and appearance over time. The ceramic series films reject up to 80% of the sun’s heat-producing infrared light and block 99% of UV rays. Slightly darker than the Prestige Series products, these films allow up to 50% of the light into your home.
Architectural Window Films
Architectural window films with stripes, squares and a variety of patterns. Films that provide semi obscurity with elegant design. Perfect for semi-privacy, decorative or architectural applications. I want to say it was a pleasure to have him [General Solar Installer] here! Very personable and professional - and the results are gorgeous. I absolutely couldn’t have done what he did, and I so am glad I didn’t try!
Our sunroom is the favorite room in our house. Except for mid summer. Windows on three sides, plus large skylights, made this a warm easterly room. We knew what we wanted, and called General Solar. The choices were easy to select, timing for installation was easily created. The installation team of Mauricio & Jose were a delight to watch. It was quickly obvious that they had been working together for quite awhile. They worked efficiently and the job was done earlier then expected. But Everything was perfect. Big word, Perfect. And three weeks later, when I walk into my sunroom with coffee in hand, it’s a delightful place to begin my day. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend these two installers for anyone sitting on the proverbial fence.

Excellent service. Excellent window film products. House is noticeably cooler and the recommended film provides daytime privacy with more light indoors than window shades. Plus the house looks nicer from the outside with the mirrored windows. Installation was completed with care. Very happy. Would recommend highly.

David was great and very nice. He took the time to go over my options and helped me chose the best one. I was amazed at the huge difference the window tinting made. All of my windows are facing the sun and even in the winter I have to run the AC because of the heat coming from them. General Solar’s window tinting has kept my place nice and cool even in the extremely hot summer days we’ve been having. I can’t recommend them enough!!
These guys always know what they are talking about, they are fast installers and precise and have great prices. They have been providing services to my office building for about 10 years now.
The outer pane of glass on my upper window was broken but the inner glass coated with the 3M film held and kept the would-be thieves out. Despite their attempts to use a crowbar. As you can see they did not try the bottom window at all.
